Cool loft in a house I showed

Would you climb up to this loft? I did, because it was there! 😀

Lustron Houses

Have you ever heard of Lustron houses? These photos display 4 of the approximately 2500 of them that were built in the US after World War II. These prefabricated homes were made from enameled steel, and were considered to be extremely durable, and low maintenance (they didn't even have to be painted).

A heat pump running in winter

This may look like an air conditioner, but it's actually a heat pump, which explains why it's running in the middle of winter 😀 From a property I showed recently, where it was a cozy 22 degrees inside.

All-in-one Combo Kitchen

I saw this in a house I was showing recently; it was surprising to see the combo cooktop/sink, and even more surprising to see there's a mini fridge under the cooktop!
Turns out these are known as an all-in-one combo kitchen, or also known as a compact kitchen.

Erin Mills Town Centre Development Plans

I recently read about these development plans for Mississauga's Erin Mills Town Centre (the mall with the cool glass sphere on top).
They're planning on converting parts of the parking area, along with some of the exterior retails buildings, into a large mixed use community, including the addition of 9 towers, ranging from 20-44 stories tall.

How apartments are categorized in Montreal

For example, a 1 1/2 is a bachelor apartment, while a 3 1/2 is a 1 bedroom apartment (with a bathroom, kitchen, living room).
I've attached a graphic below showing the different types.

Wedding Cake House

I had shown this unusually designed house in Ingersoll a few months ago when it was for sale - it had been described as a 'wedding cake' house. The turret was pretty cool!

Toronto's Half House

Finally made it to see Toronto's half house, located at 54 1/2 Saint Patrick Street. This property used to be attached to another row unit, but this other row unit was demolished (in the 70's I believe), to help make way for the apartment building to the North - apparently the owner for 54 1/2 Saint Patrick refused to sell at the time.

Spelling Mistakes on Elevator Notice

All the spelling mistakes on this notice posted in the elevator of a London condo building make my head hurt - and the mistakes aren't even consistent! LOL
